Alongside theater, the art of film is a cornerstone of the interdisciplinary concept. In two auditoriums—the cozy “Grüner Salon” and the glamorous “Ballsaal”—a daily film program is shown in the original language with subtitles. In addition, the KlubKinoKlub offers weekly opportunities to discuss cinema, and regularly hosts festivals such as the DOK Film Festival Leipzig, the French Film Days, the Kurzsuechtig Short Film Festival, and the Latin American Film Days. A unique feature is “Expanded Cinema”—cinematic installations in the historic ballroom that “reflect on the genre as a platform and vehicle for cultural practice, while opening up possibilities for collaboration with other art forms.”

Schaubühne Lindenfels
In 1876, the Schaubühne was built as a “social hall for dance events”; after German reunification, a group of actors reopened the abandoned building as a theater, and since 2002, the Schaubühne Lindenfels has been the first shareholder-owned cultural center. Starting November 12, 2026, the Cineville card is also valid at the Schaubühne Lindenfels.
