Neue Filmbühne Beuel

The Filmbühne deliberately brings smaller productions to Bonn for their first-run screenings.

Opened in 1933 as a multi-purpose hall for a hotel and restaurant, the Filmbühne was expanded in 1938 with the addition of a small foyer and a balcony. Since then, it has been lovingly renovated. As an arthouse cinema, it deliberately brings smaller German and European productions to Bonn for their first-run screenings, giving audiences the opportunity to discover films that might otherwise receive little or only a very limited theatrical release.
