The Metropolis Cinema, located in the heart of the city on Ebertplatz, is one of the city’s most historic movie theaters. Founded in 1950 and renovated several times, it is now a modern arthouse cinema with three digitally equipped auditoriums and a total of 411 seats. The theater offers: current films in their original language with subtitles, arthouse cinema, and a wide range of children’s and family programming.
