The Cologne Short Film Festival (KFFK) screens the latest short films at the Filmhaus, Filmforum, OFF Broadways, the Temporary Gallery, and the Lichtspiele Kalk. Since reopening in 2008, the cinema has presented a diverse program across two screening rooms, featuring European arthouse productions, independent films, and carefully selected blockbusters. With its stylish atmosphere, regular film series, and special events, the Scala has established itself as a popular meeting place for film lovers in Leverkusen.

Scala Cinema

Built in the 1950s, the Scala is the oldest operating cinema in Leverkusen.

From the café, visitors can enjoy a wonderful view over Bremen's Viertel district. The cinema's program focuses on new arthouse films from around the world, documentaries, sneak previews, and screenings in their original language. Special premieres are often accompanied by appearances from actors or directors.
