**To all Cineville-Previews Cineville subscribers can bring a guest to the previews free of charge.***

*For technical reasons, tickets for accompanying persons cannot currently be reserved via your Cineville account.
Ideally, please collect your tickets together with your accompanying person on the evening of the screening to ensure that you are seated next to each other. Alternatively, you can try to reserve the ticket for your accompanying person by telephone or email directly with the cinema – preferably with reference to your already booked seat.

18. British Shorts Kurzfilmfestival

Just in time for Walpurgis Night, the Metropolis Cinema in Hamburg is launching its new ‘Retro Horror’ programme series with the silent film HÄXAN. In addition, numerous classics and ‘hidden gems’ from horror history will be shown until the end of November in regular late-night screenings.

Blue Note Cinema

Throughout 2025, the Hackesche Höfe cinema will be showing a classic DEFA film once a month – always on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. – in analogue 35mm cinema projection. Afterwards, there will be a small reception in the foyer.

Most films are screened with English subtitles!

The ‘Best of Cinema’ series presents restored film classics and successful cinema hits from recent years back on the big screen. The focus is often on productions from the 1980s to 2000s.

Screenings take place on the first Tuesday of the month, but you can usually catch a screening on the following days as well.

Best of Cinema

Every month, Queer Film Night shows a new, non-heterosexual film from the international festival scene. It takes place regularly in over 40 cinemas in Germany and Austria and is presented by the online magazine www.sissymag.de. Each film is discussed by sissy in a detailed review.

Films are always shown in the original language with German subtitles.

Queerfilmnacht

Analogue cinema is alive and kicking! Unlike digital cinema, analogue cinema is still a magical act that transforms reality in front of the camera into a substantial and timeless apparition on the screen. This magic is regularly celebrated at the Cineville cinemas Hackesche Höfe Berlin, Filmhaus/KommKino Nuremberg and Metropolis Hamburg.
